Jackie Sue Foose

Jackie Sue Foose (Barnaby), 79, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on June 25, 1947, in Greeley, Colorado, Jackie was the daughter of Ed and Kate Barnaby. She grew up in the communities of Nunn and Ault, where she built lifelong friendships and memories. She attended Highland High School and was blessed with a childhood surrounded by a large, loving extended family. She cherished the time she spent with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and those close family bonds helped shape the kind, caring person she became.

Music was an important part of Jackie's life from an early age. She grew up in a very musical family and loved singing with her sisters and playing the guitar. Those moments together created treasured memories that stayed with her throughout her life.

As a young woman, Jackie met the love of her life, Bob Foose, in a story that became a favorite family memory. While cruising "Dizzy Block" in Greeley, Bob unexpectedly jumped into her car while she was stopped at a traffic light. That chance encounter sparked a lifelong love story, and together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another.

Throughout her career, Jackie dedicated herself to serving others. She worked at Aims Community College, North Colorado Medical Center, University Hospital, and the North Colorado Medical Society. She took pride in her work, built lasting friendships with her coworkers, and approached each role with the same kindness, compassion, and dedication that defined every part of her life. She especially looked forward to attending Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) gatherings with her coworkers, where laughter, conversation, and friendship created many cherished memories.

Jackie treasured the friendships she made throughout her life. One of her greatest joys was her bridge group, where she faithfully gathered every other Tuesday with the same core group of women for more than 50 years. Their games were about much more than cards—they were a celebration of friendship, laughter, support, and a lifetime of shared memories.

Above all else, Jackie was devoted to her family. She was known for her caring heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from being together with her family, celebrating life's special moments, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Foose.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Corey Foose and Aimee Skul (Tommy); her grandchildren, Kari Foose, Tommy Skul Jr., Anthony Skul, and Taytum Skul; her great-grandchildren, Ileeyah Herrera, Addisyn Foose, Amayah Adair, and Orion Haynes; her sisters, Sharon Barnaby-Rundle and Kathy Prather; several beloved nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Jackie's kindness, resilience, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, strength, and devotion to family that will continue through the generations she loved so deeply.

A Celebration of Life honoring Jackie will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life, share memories, and honor the lasting impact she had on all who knew and loved her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Jackie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
