Louis W Laws passed away on 9/5, surrounded by his family and best friend of 30+ years, Charlie.
Louis graduated from College with a Bachelors degree in Forestry. After college he joined the Air Force where he served from 1959-1967 with highest rank of Captain. Louis flew F-100s and F-105s over Vietnam. He was awarded 4 air medals and 2 distinguished Flying Crosses ( the 2nd highest medal awarded for flying valor). In addition, he was awarded the Airman’s medal for personnel who distinguished themselves by heroism involving voluntary risk of life under conditions other than those of actual conflict with an enemy. After retiring from the Air Force Louis flew for Continental Airlines for 32 years.
In his spare time Louis loved being in the mountains; hiking, fishing, and camping. He also loved spending time with his dogs.
Survived by his wife Margie, daughter Cindy Laws Goewey, son Bob Laws and wife Becky, son Dan Likes and wife Michelle and son Travis and Louis’ his best friend Charlie. Louis had 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
