Margaret H. Howell, age 97, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on September 29, 2026.

Margaret was born on May 28, 1929, in Logan, Kansas, to John William and Martha J. Nichol. She married Kenneth Avery Howell in Kansas. Kenneth worked as a printer for a newspaper in Norton, Kansas, while Margaret made their home and cared for their family. In 1960, they moved to Colorado, where she lived for the rest of her life.

Margaret was a kind person who was always helping others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making people laugh, and she will be remembered for both her generosity and her wit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Avery Howell; her parents, John and Martha Nichol; her son, Harold Lee Howell; and her siblings, James Nichol, Leonard Nichol, Clayton Nichol, Matthew Nichol, Lucy J. Scharf, and Violet R. Ruff.

She is survived by her children, Linda Coyle, Warren Howell, Kenneth Howell, and Kevin Howell.

There will be a graveside service for Margaret at Linn Grove Cemetery on October 12th, 2026 at 2:00PM where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband Kenneth.

Arrangements are entrusted to Adamson Life Celebration Home, Greeley, Colorado.
