Myra Alejandra Garcia, beloved daughter, sister, twin, wife, stepmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on September 10, 2026, at Anschutz UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. She was only 29 years old.

Myra was born on January 24, 1997, in Greeley, Colorado, to Maria Garcia and Rosalio Garcia. From the moment she entered this world, she brought a special kind of love, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone around her. She was one of the younger sisters in her family, yet she held a unique and irreplaceable place in the heart of her twin brother.

Myra attended Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, Colorado. After graduating, she continued her education at IBMC College, where she pursued her passion for cosmetology and earned her license. This marked the beginning of a career that would become such an important part of her life—as a barber.

Myra had a natural gift for making people feel good about themselves. Through her work, she did more than cut hair; she created connections, shared smiles, and left a little bit of happiness with everyone who sat in her chair. She took pride in what she did, and her passion was reflected in the care she showed to the people she met. Her career was not simply a job—it was a reflection of her talent, her dedication, and the beautiful person she was.

In 2019, Myra married Jose Trejo, beginning a new chapter filled with love, hope, and dreams for the future. Together, they created memories that will remain treasured by their family and loved ones for years to come.

Although Myra’s life was far too short, the 29 years she shared with us were filled with moments that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Her smile, her laughter, her unique personality, and the love she gave so freely will never be forgotten. She had a way of making memories out of ordinary moments, and those memories have now become some of the greatest treasures her loved ones will carry.

The loss of Myra has left an emptiness that words cannot fully describe. Her absence is felt in the quiet moments, in the places she once filled with her presence, and in the hearts of everyone who loved her. We wish we could have had more time—more conversations, more laughter, more hugs, and more opportunities to tell her just how much she meant to us.
