Tanner Steven Nichols

April 13, 1979 – October 12, 2026

Tanner Steven Nichols, 47, passed away on October 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, a few unfinished projects, and a family who loved him beyond measure.

Born on April 13, 1979, Tanner was the beloved son of Fred and Kelli Nichols, brother to Tiffany (Seth) Raulston and Trent Nichols, and proud father of Saige, James, and Lex Nichols.

To know Tanner was to know someone who did things his own way. He was stubborn, fiercely independent, endlessly creative, and never particularly concerned with what anyone else thought. Tanner had a way of seeing the world differently, and he wasn't afraid to follow his own path.

Tanner was an extraordinary craftsman with a gift for seeing possibilities where others saw something ordinary. He could fix just about anything, and if something was already working, chances were he could find a way to make it better. For Tanner, simply completing a task was never enough. Everything had the potential to become something extraordinary, and he had the talent, imagination, and determination to make it happen. Of course, his pursuit of perfection sometimes meant a project was never quite finished — there was always one more detail to get just right.

He had a curious mind and a genuine fascination with history, craftsmanship, and understanding how things were made. He loved collecting sports cards, coins, and just about anything he thought had a story worth discovering or the potential to become something better.

And then there was "Tanner Time." Tanner was rarely, if ever, on time for anything. In his world, showing up 45 minutes to an hour late was still perfectly acceptable — and as far as he was concerned, he was right on schedule. Those who knew him learned that when Tanner said he'd be there at a certain time, it was best to add a little cushion. It was simply Tanner Time, and there was no changing it.

Family held a special place in Tanner's heart. He loved his parents deeply and took great pride in his children, Saige, James, and Lex. His children adored him, loving him with a grace and understanding far beyond their years. Their love for their dad was unwavering, and the memories they made together will always be treasured.

Tanner was simply Tanner — talented, stubborn, creative, and completely himself. He had an extraordinary gift for creating things, a mind that never stopped imagining possibilities, and a personality that those who knew him will never forget.

Forty-seven years was simply not enough. There were still memories to make, stories to tell, and milestones in his children's lives that he should have been here to see. His absence will be felt in ways that words cannot fully express. And while Tanner may have always operated on his own time, those who loved him would give anything to have just a little more of it.

Tanner will be remembered for all his beautiful, unique characteristics, and all the little things that made him unmistakably Tanner. Most of all, he will be missed by the family who loved him, especially his three children, Saige, James, and Lex.
