Wilford Talmadge

Wilford Talmadge, 69, passed away on March 19, 2026, at home.

Wilford was born March 18, 1957, to Silvan and Elvira Talmadge in Greeley, Colorado where he was raised and spent most of his life. He graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1975. Where he played basketball and baseball. Soon after, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Rifleman. Wilford was very proud to be a Marine and serve for our country. He continued to play softball for many years. Throughout his life he made many friends and we could never go anywhere without him knowing someone or someone knowing him! He loved to fish and camp.  Wilford was a proud father to his daughters Kirsten and Chelsea and a proud grandfather to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kirsten Talmadge, Chelsea Neill; 6 grandchildren, Alexxis Orozco, Arron Orozco, Karsyn Hernandez, Izayah Neill, Aydin Neill, and Emaly Neill; his siblings, Helen Motis, Mary Vasquez, Gloria Fichialos, Ruth Trujillo, Wilbert Talmadge, Caroline Talmadge; nieces, Wendy Ramirez, Michelle Balelo, Tracy Brice, Miranda Trujillo, Melissa Ruiz, Kori Cervantes; nephews, Doug Garcia, Todd Brown, Wade Trujillo, Ryan Martinez, and Byrant Martinez. He also leaves behind many great nieces, great nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Silvan and Elvira Talmadge; twin sisters Janet and Janice Talmadge; sister, Linda Talmadge-Luna; brother, Abraham Talmadge; niece, Steph Sipres; and nephews, Scottie Garcia and Jeff Vasquez.

Services will be held privately. He will have a Military Honor ceremony open to public at Linn Grove Cemetery at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2026.
