Raymond Paul Riller

Raymond Paul Riller passed with his family beside him at the age of 63 on September 21st, 2026 at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center Woodbridge.

Ray was born in Anacostia Washington DC, a real local, on September 30th, 1962, the son of Werner Paul Riller and Helene Riller.

Ray was a skilled handyman, gifted in both practical and spiritual work. He always put our Heavenly Father first and readily helped anyone in need. He also served for many years as a minister in the New Apostolic Church. Ray treasured time with his family and felt blessed to have become a father to Timothy and Annabell. They were the world to him.

Ray married his soulmate, Kathrin, on May 21st, 1995. Although an ocean separated them in the beginning, Kathrin in Germany and Ray in America, our Heavenly Father blessed their love and made the impossible possible. They shared 31 wonderful years of marriage.

Ray is survived by his wife, Kathrin Elisabeth Riller (Stutschies); his son, Timothy Paul Riller (18); his daughter, Annabell Elisabeth Riller (15); his mother, Helene Riller (Striegel); his brother, Warren Paul Riller; his sister, Doris Shull (Riller), and her son, Christopher Shull; and his brother, David Paul Riller, his sister-in-law, Wendi Shively, and their children, Amber Riller and Niko Riller. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many beloved nieces and nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew, cousins, many other beloved family members, and dear friends who held a special place in his heart.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday October 17th at 2:00 PM at the 

New Apostolic Church
