My father, Zhirui Hou, passed away peacefully at home in the United States on April 10, 2026, at 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was 84 years old.

My father, Zhirui Hou, lived a life marked by diligence, integrity, discipline, and a quiet pursuit of excellence. Throughout his professional career in China, he worked with dedication and distinction, rising to become the General Manager of a company with more than 1,000 employees under his leadership. He was deeply respected by colleagues and employees for his strong sense of responsibility, sound judgment, and steadfast work ethic. Through both his career and his conduct, he set an enduring example of commitment, leadership, and service.

Within his family, my father, Zhirui Hou, together with my mother, Mingyu Cao, loved their daughter, son, and three grandsons from the bottom of their hearts.
