Liselotte Berry Haskell

Liselotte Berry Haskell, known to family and friends as Lisa, passed away on May 16, 2026. Born in Bad Ischl, Austria, Lisa brought thoughtfulness and care to everything she did. She loved cooking, gardening, and creating a welcoming home for her family and friends.

Lisa had a varied professional life. She worked at the Smithsonian Institution, later worked for MNCPPC at Old Maryland Farm and retired as an insurance agent for Rust Insurance Agency.

Lisa’s life was deeply rooted in the love and commitment she shared with her husband, Trueman Haskell Jr, who stood steadfastly by her side. Together, they nurtured a family that blossomed under her protective watch: her daughter Elizabeth, her son Trueman Haskell III, and her daughter-in-law Justine Gray. She was a cherished grandmother to Charlotte Haskell and Trueman Haskell IV.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frieda Berry. Her life reflected the values they instilled in her—kindness, dedication, and a love for those closest to her.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at Lanham United Methodist Church, 5512 Whitfield Chapel Rd, Lanham, MD 20706. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
