Linda Mae Johnson

Linda Mae "Nanny" Johnson, age 72, of Moore Haven, Florida passed away on September 3, 2026.

Mom’s life was defined by quiet, steadfast love. She found joy in gardening, caring for babies, and crocheting blankets that wrapped every child in our family with her warmth. She stood by her loved ones through births, heartbreaks, and hard times, offering comfort with gentle guidance and deep compassion. Even in her final days, she gave what little strength she had to soothe others. Her family was her life, and Daddy was the love of her life. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched with her kindness, devotion, and unwavering presence. Nanny never in the military, but was a military wife. Traveled everywhere he went, Alabama, Germany, Texas, with babies in tow until his end of service in about 1978. She married Albert Johnson in Clewiston at the Little Pentecostal Church on Johnson Street, and were married for 56 years. Nanny was a very dedicated wife to Albert, and a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.

Albert's favorite memories of her are rooted in beginnings. He remembers the day she gave birth to their children, the awe he felt watching her become a mother. And he’ll never forget the moment she arrived in Germany — stepping off the train, loaded down with luggage and carrying little baby Melissa, determined and radiant. Linda was of the Christian Faith.

Linda leaves fond memories with her loving husband, Albert Johnson of Moore Haven, her daughters; Michelle Nelson, Melissa Johnson, and Angie Aborizk (Rob), her sons; Daiton Jonson (Leigh Anne), Albert Johnson (Jessica), her loving siblings include Tammy Parker and Michael Reese. Linda has twenty Grandkids – Crystal (Timothy), Joseph (Tabitha), Betty, Linda (Kevin), Derek (Kayla) , Celia, David, Little Daiton, Joey, Robin, Elizabeth (Nick), Kaitlyn, Warren (Jess), Zach, Anthony, Tiffiny, Chasity (Davis), Leah, Skyler, and Anabelle. Thirty-nine great grand children and many many more friends and family.

Visitation will be September 11, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at Moore Haven Church of God, located at 129 Palm Avenue Moore Haven, Florida where the funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. Linda will be laid to rest in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clewiston, Florida.
