Bette Fall

Nov 24, 1938 — Feb 11, 2026

Bette Jean Hicks Jacobson Fall went to be with the Lord on the evening of February 11, 2026. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband, David of 50 years, youngest daughter, Tracy and oldest grandson, Michael. Bette was born in Ames, IA in 1938 to Guy and Ruth Hicks, and grew up in Boone, IA. She was a Disc Jockey and met some of the most wonderful artist's, such as Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and her favorite, Elvis!

She met her husband, David Fall in Marshalltown, IA and lived a life of being a mother, wife and a typesetter who could type 95 words per minute (amazing)! She did a fantastic job at every thing she touched, especially her Belgium waffles that she stuffed her kids and their friends with. She loved taking her kids to the movies, shopping and out to eat. And when they got too old, she started taking her grandkids. All of us cherish those memories with her. She was fortunate that she and her husband did traveling, cruises, white water rafting, etc.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Guy Hicks. She is survived by her Husband, David Fall of Colorado Springs, CO. Sister, Nancy (Merwyn) Ripley of Nevada, IA. Brother in law, Jack Fall of Colorado Springs, CO. Son, Shawn (Cheryl) Jacobson of Olney, MD. Daughter, Shannon (Al) Murray of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Son, Trevor (Lori) Fall of McKinney, TX. And Daughter, Tracy Beem of Colorado Springs, CO. 10 grandkids and 7 great grandchildren. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.

She will be laid to rest in Boone, IA with her parents in 2026.
