Deborah White Busch

Charlie (Deborah) White Busch/Pfeif, 68 years young, was born on November 24, 1957 in Maryland to Arthur and Rita White. She passed on June 26, 2026, at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Pfeif of Walsenburg, Colorado; one brother, Michael White of Virginia; and three sisters, Cathy MacKay of Washington State, Beth White-O’Connor of Colorado, Valerie Stapel of Virginia, and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie wasn’t a perfect child and was no stranger to heartache and tragedy. Losing her first husband, Joseph Busch, in a plane crash three months after their marriage in 1980. She went on to earn a master's degree in education. She taught industrial arts as a shop teacher. She really loved interacting with and teaching her students. She was once voted teacher of the year in her Virginia school district.

She met her new husband in 2011, and they were married, common law, in 2021.

After the loss of her best buddy, a little Pomeranian called Kinko. She was inspired to start a new business of manufacturing custom pet memorials. Her company was called “Whispering Paws." She was an independent and adventurous soul. She loved camping, fishing, woodworking, competitive shooting, and Hot Springs.

She will be deeply missed.
