Eugene "Gene" J. Pask
Mar 19, 1942 — Jun 29, 2026
Eugene J. Pask, 84, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, began his final journey across God's great landscape on June 29, 2026.
Born with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the outdoors, Gene lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his career, and the pursuits he loved. He served proudly in the United States Army Reserves for seven years before building a successful career as Vice President of Curtis Screw Company in Buffalo, New York. After relocating to Colorado, he continued serving his community through his work with the United States Postal Service in Colorado Springs until his retirement.
On November 23, 1963, Gene married the love of his life, Kay Keischgens, in Buffalo, New York. Together they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years filled with adventure, laughter, and lasting memories.
Gene was happiest outdoors. He had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, collecting firearms, rodeos, and horses. He was an active supporter and member of Ducks Unlimited, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Knights of Columbus, the Woodland Park Saddle Club, and enjoyed spending time at Mueller State Park. His Catholic faith remained an important part of his life.
Gene is lovingly remembered by his sister, Sister Judith Pask of Batavia, New York; his daughters, Donna Ballenger of Cornville, Arizona, Wendy Martin and her husband, Mitch, of Elbert, Colorado, and Michelle Kren and her husband, John, of Jackson, Wyoming. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Haley Ballenger of Seattle, Washington; Tyler Templeton and his wife, Christine, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Logan Templeton and his wife, Alyssa, of Denver, Colorado; and Blake Martin of Juneau, Alaska. He was the proud great-grandfather of Kiya Templeton, Jackson Templeton, and Otto Templeton.
Gene will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, unwavering love for his family, and the joy he found in God's creation. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family who will forever treasure his memory.
