Francisco A. Ortiz, age 33, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on May 11, 2026. Born on October 29, 1992, in Wahiawa, Hawaii, Francisco brought a warmth and spirit to his family that will be deeply missed. Though his time with us was far too brief, the impact of his kind heart and the memories shared with those he loved will remain a lasting testament to his life.

Francisco was a man who found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He possessed a generous spirit and a natural inclination toward helping others, most notably seen in the bond he shared with his father. He loved spending time under the hood of a car, working side-by-side with his dad to fix engines and solve mechanical puzzles. These hours spent in the garage were more than just a hobby; they were a reflection of his dedication to his family and his desire to be a steady, helpful presence in the lives of those he held dear.

He is survived by his loving parents, Francisco and Alexandra E. Ortiz, who will forever cherish the gift of his life. He also leaves behind his devoted siblings: sisters Joanne M. Law and Frances E. Severson, and his brother, Benjamin L. Ortiz. His family remembers him as a beloved son and brother whose presence brought a unique light to their home. Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Francisco’s life on May 22, 2026, at St. Mary’s Cathedral. A vigil will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am.
