Joseph Warren Maloney

Joseph Warren Maloney, born in Boston in 1941, passed away peacefully in Denver on August 5, 2026, at the age of 85.

A calm, deeply caring, and brilliant man. He lived a life marked by endless kindness, a sharp wit, and a generous spirit that touched everyone he met.

He now joins his beloved wife, Rita Maloney. He leaves behind his daughter, Gail Maloney, his sister Claire (Steve) Hulme, niece Jackie, nephew Joe, and his wonderful friend Mary Ann, along with many cherished friends from both lifelong bonds and newer connections.

A brilliant mind and gentle spirit were always accompanied by his kindness and generosity; giving his time and heart freely to others. He was clever and quick-witted with a sense of humor that brought smiles and laughter to all. He offered peace and steady support to all who knew him. His passions included a joy for travel and geography-especially exploring and learning about new places. An avid reader, he also very much enjoyed building model vintage boats and planes, patiently devoting hours over time to ensure exceptional detail. He deeply valued the wonderful people who walked through life with him.
