Robert Alvin Peterson

Robert (Rob) Peterson, 43, passed away on September 28, 2026 due to health complications.

Rob was born on August 17, 1983 in Ellsworth, South Dakota to Robert (Bob) and Cindy Peterson. Bob was in the Air Force, so during the first few years of his life, Rob and his family lived in England. When his dad changed careers, they moved to Aurora, Colorado, where Rob grew up. Rob graduated from Grandview High School and then attended Aurora Community College where he earned his Associates Degree. He later earned a bachelor's degree at Colorado Technical University.

Rob met Mandy in 2008 and in 2011, his daughter, Caley, was born. Caley has always been what Rob considered to be the best thing in his life. After Rob's divorce, he moved in with his parents to help care for his dad, who was suffering from cancer.

Rob held many jobs during his life, including business analyst, and pharmacy technician, but at the end found a job he really enjoyed. He was in school to become a massage therapist.

Rob enjoyed doing lots of things, especially with Caley. They would attend various festivals, such as the Renaissance Festival, Comic Con, and Asian festivals. He would also spend hours playing computer games with Caley and other family members and friends. His favorites included Minecraft, Ticket to Ride, Phasmophobia, and RV There Yet, among many others. During weekly game nights he often traded dad jokes with his dad, and brother-in-law, Mark. He liked to play Dungeons and Dragons and board games as well, and regularly went to game days with his friends. Rob also loved animals and almost always had a pet in his life.

Rob is survived by his daughter, Caley Peterson, his mother, Cindy Peterson, his sister, Tevia (Mark) Cox, nieces Addison and Freya, Grandmother Genevieve Peterson, Aunts Anne (Gary) Landswerk, Patricia (Glen) Sheets, and Uncles Byron (Donna) Lowery, and Arne (Patty) Lowery.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Bob Peterson, Grandparents Samual Lowery, Bessie Hartinger, and Calvin Peterson, Aunts Shirley Lorence and Susan Stone, and Uncles Mike Lorence and Jim Peterson.

Services will take place on Sunday, October 25th at 6 PM at Resurrection Anglican Fellowship, 9250 East Belleview Avenue, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
