Andrea Prudence Gile (Gutierrez)

Andrea Prudence Gile (Gutierrez), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on June 23, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on February 17, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, Andrea was the cherished daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Agnes Gutierrez. She was predeceased by her brothers Benjamin and Ted Gutierrez, and her sister Barbara Romero.

Andrea’s life was graced with love and devotion, particularly towards her family, whom she adored beyond measure. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Homer C. Gile, who stood by her side through all of life's triumphs and trials. Together, they raised two remarkable daughters, Mishelle Flaming (husband Ty) and Jesselyn Clore (husband Nick), who were the light of Andrea’s life. Her legacy of love continues through her four beloved grandchildren, Cole Sutter, Bryce Sutter, Penelope Flaming, and Jackson Family, who brought immense joy to her heart.

Andrea, a proud graduate of Sheridan High School, was awarded a band scholarship to attend college in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where her love for music flourished. She was an active member of Our Savior's Church, where her faith guided her life and actions.

A woman of boundless energy and compassion, Andrea dedicated 45 years to coaching and refereeing soccer. She was not only a mentor on the field but also a second mother to countless young athletes, instilling in them her passion for the game. Her dedication extended beyond the soccer field; she was a professional mom and grandma, always present at every significant milestone, whether it was an athletic event, a recital, or a simple family gathering. Andrea's support was unwavering, and her presence was a cherished gift to all who knew her.

Andrea was an ardent supporter of all professional Colorado sports teams, with a special place in her heart for the Denver Nuggets. Her admiration for Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever was well-known, and she celebrated every achievement of her favorite athletes with genuine enthusiasm.

Her selflessness knew no bounds. Andrea was the person who would drop everything to be there for those she loved, embodying the spirit of generosity and kindness. Her love for soccer was infectious, and she inspired many to embrace the sport with the same fervor she did. Her legacy of dedication, love, and support lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A service to honor Andrea's beautiful life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Our Savior's Church, located at 1975 S. Garrison Street, Lakewood, Colorado, 80227. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose spirit will forever be remembered.
