Kathryn Louise Edgar Rees Breithaupt

Kathryn Louise Edgar Rees Breithaupt, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 81. 

Born on October 27, 1944, in Emporium, Pennsylvania, Kathryn lived a life centered on family, love, and connection. She had a warm spirit and a welcoming smile that brightened the lives of those around her. Whether spending time with family, sharing stories, or enjoying life's simple moments, Kathryn made people feel valued and loved. 

She is survived by her children, Robin Schmitt, Lyle (Melissa) Rees, Stacey Garrison, and Lori (Dave) Morrison; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Harold Edgar and Ron (Sharon) Edgar. 

Kathryn's greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply and the memories she created with them. Her kindness, laughter, and caring heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Though she will be greatly missed, her spirit lives on in the stories shared by her family, the lessons she taught, and the love she leaves behind.
