Nikki Jean Zell
July 8, 2008 — March 31, 2026
Most beloved Nikki Jean Zell, 17, was stolen from the world by depression on March 31, 2026, at her home. She will be forever remembered for her bright personality and the light she brought to everyone around her.
Nikki was born July 8, 2008 in Denver, CO. Throughout her life, Nikki was a talented artist in many mediums. She loved to run. She was always excited to find new interests to be passionate about. Nikki was due to receive her high school diploma from Standley Lake this May. She worked at Chuy’s Restaurant as a hostess. She was a persuasive seller of cookies as a Girl Scout. Nikki was a two-season member of Winter Guard, a German Club officer, a member of Tri-M music honor society, and an exceptional student in school and life.
Nikki is survived by her parents Jessica and Eric Zell, her brother Calvin Zell, grandmothers Kathy Case and Loretta Zell, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A public memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 25th at Broomfield United Methodist Church. We are asking people to wear tie dye shirts, or bright colors since Nikki was so bright and colorful.
Please, instead of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at https://supporting.afsp.org/campaigns/Nikki-Zell-Memorial-Fund .
Thank you to everyone who has offered and lended support during this difficult time as we mourn this sweet, goofy, sparkly and loving person named Nikki.
