Barbara Stroup

Barbara Stroup, 93 passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026 surrounded by the love and memories of a life richly lived.
Barbara was one of six siblings-the five tough Nebraska girls and their one fun loving brother Dan all born in Nebraska to Winnefred and Patrick Boyle. Her close bond with her sisters remained a cherished part of her life throughout the years. And she treasured the time she spent with them and their families.
Barbara made her home in Westminster, Colorado where she and her beloved husband, Harold, raised their eight children. Being a mother was one of the great joys of Barbara’s life. She was a hardworking devoted wife who gave generously of herself to her family and took great pride in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Barbara also loved to travel and had a lifelong zest for learning and experiencing the world. She enjoyed discovering new places, meeting new people, and making memories along the way. Her curiosity and sense of adventure stayed with her throughout her life.
Barbara took great pride in her many years working for United Airlines as a reservationist and gate agent at the old Stapleton Airport in Denver. She loved her job and formed close friendships and shared adventures.
Barbara and Harold retired and had ten wonderful years in the Florida Keys. They spent many days boating, fishing, and socializing with retired friends from across the US. Those winters became treasured years of sunshine, friendship and shared adventures.
Barbara will be remembered for her strength, warmth, hard work, and devotion to her family and great sense of humor. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, and grandmother, cherished sister, and a loyal friend. Above all she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the many lives she touched along the way.
Barbara leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her family, in the friendships she made, and in the countless memories created through a life filled with love, family, travel, work, and adventure. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, October 5th at 9:45 AM.
