David Kent Bomhoff

July 4, 1948 — March 29, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David "Dave" Bomhoff, who left this world on March 29, 2026 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born on July 4, 1948 in Denver, Colorado. Dave left an unforgettable mark on those who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Stephany Bomhoff(Knopfle), his loving daughters, Jodi Chapas and Gina Driscoll, and his favorite sister, Diane Davison. He took great pride and joy in being a grandfather to Wade Driscoll, Sadie Lynn Driscoll, Lacey Driscoll, Laura Vossel, Bethany “Sis” Vossel, and JJ Vossel. Each of them will miss their grandfather dearly.

Dave was predeceased by his son, Justin Owen Bomhoff, and his parents, Kenneth and Gladys “Jean” Bomhoff(Davies).

Dave will always be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, having dedicated more than 40 years service to the same company. An avid listener of Talk Radio 850 KOA, Dave's love for talk radio was only surpassed by his passion for coaching rec soccer. For over a decade, he coached for the City of Wheat Ridge, imparting not just skills of the sport, but life lessons to many of the players.

He greeted those he cared about with a smart ass comment, a funny joke, or a slightly inappropriate nickname which more often than not included a few curse words. He was not only a father to his children, but a guiding figure to his grandchildren especially to the Driscoll kids.Dave had a weekend hobby of taking his 2005 Ford Mustang that he won from Coca-Cola, to car shows and he won many awards including several 1st place Best of Show. His love for the car was obvious and it became a central part of many fond memories. He was an undercover pool shark and played in the APA league for many years.

A Celebration of Life for David "Dave" Bomhoff will be held on April 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Paramount Park in Wheat Ridge, CO. The celebration will be pot luck style. Please bring a dish to share with others as you share your memories of Dave, curse words welcome.

Dave will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His lessons, laughter, dedication, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
