Gary N Jewell passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at the age of 81. Gary was born in his home in McLean County, Kentucky. For the past 59 years, Gary made his home in Colorado with his beloved wife, Rebecca. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; his children, Christie Armijo and Kelly Jewell; and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Vera Jewell, his siblings, Wanda Robertson, Glenola Boyle and Regina Wahl, a brother Lowell Jewell, a granddaughter Shantal, and two grandsons, Joshua Wieberg and Brian Jewell.

Gary was a proud Mason and a Shriner for more than 50 years. He dedicated 31 years of service to Xcel Energy, where he earned the respect and friendship of many coworkers and lifelong friends.

An avid sports enthusiast, Gary enjoyed playing basketball, softball, golf and bowling throughout his life. After retirement, he continued to spend time on the golf course and never lost his love of watching sports on television. His warm spirit, strong work ethic, and love for family and friends will be remembered by all who knew him.

Gary's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the friendships he cherished, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
