Janice Sherman

Janice was born March 15, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Viola and Earl Romer. She married Charles Sherman on November 24th, 1956 in Hamburg, New York. She was blessed with two children- Cindy on 8-6-58 and Catherine on 8-3-60.

Jan taught dance and gymnastics her whole life and in recent years taught tap dancing at the Jeffco YMCA and Little Theatre Dance Studio, now named “MOVE”. Jan's tap group entertained at retirement centers and nursing homes. She also judged gymnastics for over 30 years.

She was active with the Applewood Homeowners for many years. She also volunteered for the AARP Tax aid program, YMCA, church choir and grandson's school.

She was taken from this world on August 22nd, 2026 to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 91. Jan is survived by her two sisters, her two children, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 19th, 2026 at the Move Dance Studio at 1980 Youngfield Street from 1:00 to 3:00.

There will be a short religious service for her from 1:15 to 2:00
