In Loving Memory of Kathleen Attorelli

Today we remember and celebrate the life of Kathleen Attorelli—a woman who was truly one of a kind.

Kathleen was born on February 21, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, and spent her childhood growing up in Venice Beach, California. She lived life in her own unique way, and anyone who knew her knew there was never a dull moment when she was around.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Attorelli; her sister, Diane Trussell; and her sons, John Subia, Jeff Subia, Charles Attorelli Jr., and Vincent Attorelli.

She leaves behind her daughters, Darleea Gilbert and Kathy Attorelli, along with her beloved grandchildren: Ashley, Alex, Cassandra, Taylor, Savannah, Seth, Brianna, Madison, Miya, Riley, and Greyson.

Kathleen wasn't someone you could easily describe in just a few words. She was bold, outspoken, and completely unapologetic about who she was. She had a wild spirit, the kind of personality that could fill a room, and a sense of humor that often caught people off guard. Her jokes weren't always appropriate—but that was part of what made her, her. She wasn't one to sugarcoat her opinions or back down from anyone, and if she loved you, you knew she'd stand beside you without hesitation.

Life wasn't always easy for Kathleen, and like every family, ours has experienced both joy and heartache. She faced tremendous loss throughout her life, yet her strong spirit remained unmistakable. While none of us are defined solely by our struggles, we are often remembered for the love we gave, the laughter we shared, and the unique mark we left on those around us. Kathleen certainly left a mark.

As our family prepares to celebrate her life together, we hope to remember not only the difficult chapters, but also the stories that make us smile, laugh, and shake our heads with a grin. Those are often the memories that stay with us the longest.

Though she has left this earthly life, her story continues through her daughters, her grandchildren, and the generations that follow. May we carry forward the resilience, boldness, and unapologetic spirit. that were unmistakably hers.

As we grieve, may we also find comfort in knowing that love does not end with goodbye. It lives on in our memories, in our stories, and in the family that remains.
