Linda Ann Shields

Linda Ann Shields peacefully passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 69, following a battle with cancer. Born November 22, 1956 in Fort Worth, TX, Linda was the daughter of the late Glenn and Carey Nixon. She is survived by her daughter Meggan (Joel) Estabrook, her brother Dave Nixon, and her nephew Chris (Moriah) Nixon.

Linda was a loving and devoted mother who was kind to everyone she met. She loved animals (especially her cats), gardening, and traveling. Linda spent most of her career working for the county health department and really enjoyed the work she did there. She was an avid researcher and always liked learning new things. One of her greatest assets was her sense of humor, and she was known for her great laugh. She was deeply loved by family and friends, and will be deeply missed.

The family will privately hold a memorial/celebration of life.
