Marilyn Kay Howe (Bolen)
Apr 5, 1942 — Oct 20, 2025
Marilyn Kay Howe (Bolen) passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born in Kansas to Ora Bolen and Beula Heckendorn, Marilyn later made Colorado her lifelong home. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1960 and went on to build a fulfilling career as a Financial Administrative Assistant. Marilyn deeply loved and cared about her work, dedicating many years of service to Bear Valley Christian Church and Columbine Hills Church of Nazarene.
Marilyn was married to her beloved husband,James B. Howe, for 46 wonderful years, until his passing. Together, they shared a life filled with faith, laughter, and love.
A woman of warmth and joy, Marilyn was an active member of the Red Hats and Rainbow Girls organizations. She had a passion for gardening and found great happiness in tending to her flowers and plants. A proud Coloradan, she was also an enthusiastic supporter of all Colorado sports teams.
Marilyn was funny, reliable, and loving — the kind of person who could always be counted on to lift spirits and bring people together. She always strived to enjoy every part of life, finding beauty in simple moments, laughter in everyday experiences, and purpose in all she did.
She is survived by her four children and their large extended families, who will continue to cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of love and joy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Denver Botanic Gardens, an organization close to her heart.
