Robert Harold Gehrke, 63, of Livermore, Colorado, passed away tragically on May 1, 2026, as the result of a tragic car accident. Born on December 13, 1962, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, Robert lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, and a profound connection to the outdoors.
Robert devoted much of his career to construction, where his strong work ethic and determination were evident in every project he undertook. He found great satisfaction in creating and building with his hands, viewing his work as a reflection of his values and commitment to craftsmanship.
Outside of his professional life, Robert embraced the simple yet meaningful joys of life in Colorado where he had lived. He cherished time spent outdoors, whether hunting or fishing in nature’s tranquility. A resourceful and skilled individual, he often immersed himself in hands-on projects. Robert was also a devoted animal lover who treasured the companionship of his beloved dogs. His independence was a cornerstone of his life, allowing him to pursue the activities that brought him happiness.
Robert is survived by his daughter Jade Janke; his grandaughter Aubreigh Janke; his sister Lavonne Beyersdorf and her husband George; nieces Pamela Kettenhoven (Kirt) and Tara Peeters (Kenny); nephews Al Beyersdorf (Nicki) and Pat Beyersdorf (Liz); and great-nieces and nephews Darien Kettenhoven, MaKena Peeters, Kara Beyersdorf, Kendall Beyersdorf, Khloe Beyersdorf, Aaron Beyersdorf, and Ray Beyersdorf.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Laverne Gehrke; his brother Dan Gehrke; sister-in-law Sue Gehrke; and great-nieces and nephews Jessica Gehrke, Nichole Gehrke, and Aaron Gehrke.
Robert’s memory will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy is one of resilience, dedication to his craft, love for nature’s serenity, and an enduring spirit. May those who mourn him find solace in the moments shared with him.
