In Loving Memory of Rod Weigand

Rod Weigand passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, integrity, and service.

Born on April 27, 1956, in Ontario, California, Rod grew up with a passion for adventure, the outdoors, and standing up for others. He attended Chaffey High School before continuing his education at Chico State University.

Rod was a devoted father to his two children, Jerod Weigand and Ashley Brown, and an incredibly proud grandfather. His family was the center of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.

Rod loved fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles, and there was no place he cherished more than San Quintín, Mexico. Whether casting a line into the water or riding the open roads with friends, those moments brought him peace, happiness, and countless treasured memories.

Known as an incredible athlete in his younger years, Rod also had a gift for making people laugh. His quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality drew people to him and created friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Rod dedicated his professional life to serving others as a Grand Lodge Representative for the International Association of Machinists and 
Aerospace Workers. He was a passionate advocate for fairness, dignity, and equal rights for working people. His unwavering commitment to fighting for others made a lasting difference in the lives of countless families, and his legacy of service will continue to be felt for generations.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Joanie Weigand, and his siblings, Char, Lori, and Joe.

He is survived by his loving children, Jerod Weigand and Ashley Brown; his cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Baker, Jameson, Easton, and Elyn; along with his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many lifelong friends who will forever remember his kindness, humor, strength, and unwavering loyalty.

Rod lived life with passion, purpose, and a generous heart. Whether he was fighting for the rights of others, sharing stories with friends, spending time with family, or enjoying the beauty of San Quintín, he embraced every moment. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the love he leaves behind.

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
