Susan Neff

Susan (Pratt) Neff left this earth on July 30, 2026, surrounded by family and in the company of her favorite daughter, Danielle. (Yes, we said favorite. We know what we said.)

Susan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Don Jay and Corrine Pratt. She was one of four sisters, alongside Diana, Sharon, and Gayle. She is survived by her children, Angie, Kory, Kristi, and Danielle, and is reunited with her daughter Natalie, who passed before her, as well as her husband, Chuck (Robert Hardeman). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Annabelle, Isabel, Angelena, Peyton, Khloe, and Theo; her great-grandchild, Analeigha; and, of course, her beloved baby dog, Ruby.

Susan was truly a socialite in her community. She loved spending time with family and friends and had a gift for meeting new people wherever she went. She enjoyed boating, racing at Bandimere Speedway, home design, gardening, and cruising around Aurora in her very much unlicensed and uninsured golf cart—an activity that resulted in Susan and Natalie being pulled over on more than one occasion. Apparently, traffic laws were more of a suggestion.

Throughout her life, Susan wore many hats. She worked as a court clerk, bartender, restaurant manager, certified nursing assistant, and, perhaps most fittingly, a treasure hunter. She had an eye for things others might overlook and a personality that was impossible to overlook.

Susan lived life on her own terms. She loved her people, loved a good adventure, and certainly gave her family plenty of stories to tell.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and undoubtedly talked about for years to come—especially anytime someone sees a golf cart where a golf cart probably shouldn’t be.
