Yvonne S. Martinez

Yvonne S. Martinez, lovingly known as “Vonnie,” was born in Colorado to Leo Espinosa and Sadie Espinosa (Madrid). She passed away on March 30, 2026, in Lakewood, Colorado.

Yvonne attended North High School and went on to build a meaningful life centered around her family, faith, and career. She worked as an accountant and was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life.

On November 14, 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Martinez, in Denver, Colorado. The two shared sixty wonderful years of marriage. In a testament to their deep bond, Yvonne passed away just one week after her beloved husband. They will be interred together, reunited in eternal rest.

Yvonne was a loving and devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two children, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, and one brother.

Services will be held on April 20, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Sheridan. Services will then continue at Ft. Logan, where Yvonne and Robert will be laid to rest together.
