Celina Padilla Martinez

Celina Padilla Martinez passed away September 30, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. She was born February 11, 1936 in Taos, N.M to Condido and Josefina Padilla.

Celina grew up in Taos before she joined the United States Air Force. She met the love of her life, Dionicio Martinez, while she served her country. They were stationed together overseas, where they did a lot of traveling. She was honorably discharged in 1958, and their marriage lasted for 67 beautiful years.

Celina had many hobbies growing up - basketball, dancing, crocheting, and crafting. She owned her own Beauty Salon and later became a Mary Kay director.

She loved traveling with her family all over the world and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their monthly family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, Dionicio Martinez; their children, Teresa and Ruben Zamora and Michelle and Eric Barela; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Megan Ouellette, Dionna, Mark, Desirae Corral, Cristina, Clifton, Carter, Wesleigh, Casen Syas, Aaron Roybal, Audrey Roybal, Lavinia Jackson. Nalissa and Jordon Harnum. Samantha Barela and Damon Brooks. Eric Barela Jr, her brothers, Frank and Robert Padilla and their children.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Hart, and her grandson Eddie Barela, her parents, her younger sister Connie Pickard and three of her brothers - Alfred, Edward and Jake Padilla.

She will be greatly missed.
