Daniel P. August, 48, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 13, 2026.

Dan proudly served in the United States Army for 11 years. Besides his love for his wife, Kari, Dan loved his brothers in arms, motorcycles, fast cars, family gatherings, road trips with Kari, his beloved dogs, and music, which carried him through many of life's hardest moments. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, quiet strength, humor, and willingness to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kari August; his parents, Tom and Linda August; his sister, Suzzi Ditzler and brother-in-law, Ronnie Ditzler; his brother, Dave August; his mother-in-law, Chris Jones; his sisters-in-law, Wendy Tobin and Amy Cooley; his brother-in-law, Scott Cooley; his nephews, Truxton Tobin, Torin Tobin, and Cash Cooley; his niece, Drew Cooley; many other cherished nieces and nephews; extended family; dear friends; and his beloved dogs, Scooby and Romey.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Tom Jones; his brother-in-law, Tyler Tobin; and his cherished dogs, Mookie and Chloe.

With our faith as our foundation, we find comfort in knowing Dan is no longer suffering and is home with his Lord and Savior. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Dan's honor.
