Harry Otis Kincaid Jr.
Dec 30, 1941 — Sep 8, 2026
- Harry Otis Kincaid, Jr.
December 30, 1941 – September 8, 2026
Harry Otis Kincaid, Jr. a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant to God, passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 84, into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
Harry lived a life of service, faith, and compassion. He honorably served in the United States Army and carried that same spirit of service throughout his life as he devoted himself to God, his family and those in need.
A guiding principle for Harry’s life was “Seek first the Kingdom of God". His faith was not simply something he believed; it was something he sought to live out in the way he served, loved, and treated others.
Harry earned his master’s degree in social work and dedicated his career to helping children and families through Child Protective Services for the State of Texas. His work extended beyond child services to include family court mediation, where he used his experience, wisdom, and compassion to help families navigate some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives. Helping others was more than a career for Harry; it was a calling and a reflection of the man he was.
Harry was a deeply godly man whose faith was at the center of his life. He was a man of wisdom, thoughtfulness, and quiet strength. He had a way of looking at life with perspective and offering guidance when it was needed. His faith and the example he set will continue to influence those who knew and loved him.
Harry also had a curious and adventurous spirit. He loved traveling, photography and exploration, finding joy in discovering new places, experiencing God’s creation, and capturing the beauty he encountered along the way. He never seemed to lose his sense of wonder about the world around him.
But perhaps Harry’s greatest joy was his family. Family was one of God’s greatest blessings in Harry’s life. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Kincaid Sr.; his mother, Willie Mae Kincaid; his brother, William "Bill" Kincaid; and his sister, Deborah McIntosh. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Connie E. Kincaid; his son, Curtis Kincaid, and daughter-in-law, Connie M. Kincaid; his daughter, Tammy Gameson, and son-in-law, Joe Gameson; his cherished granddaughter, Brooke Estrada and her husband Fred Estrada; his brother-in-law, Harry McIntosh II; his nephew Harry “Lee” McIntosh III; his niece, Crystal McIntosh and his nephew Tati “Jock” VanBuren. He also leaves many extended family members, friends, and fellow believers who were blessed by his life and testimony.
More than any title he held, Harry was a man who loved God wholeheartedly and treasured his family deeply. He led by example through his faith, wisdom, humility, and unwavering love. To his family, Harry was much more than a husband, father, or grandfather. He was a steady source of strength, encouragement, and godly counsel. The lessons he shared, the prayers he offered, and the love he poured into his family will continue to guide and inspire future generations.
Harry’s life was a testament to faithful service, first to God, then to his family, his country, his profession, and all those whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of steadfast faith, compassionate service, quiet wisdom, and enduring love. While his earthly journey has ended, his influence lives on in the hearts of those he loved and in the countless lives he helped shape through his example and we can take comfort knowing that the man who spent his life seeking God’s Kingdom and serving others is now resting in the presence of the God he faithfully served. Hearing the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)
