Harry Joseph Meyer
Feb 6, 1934 — Sep 21, 2026
- Harry Joseph Meyer Born February 6, 1934 Died September 21, 2026
Greenland, Colorado 80118
Harry Joseph Meyer, 92, of Greenland, Colorado, sadly passed away on September 21, 2026. Born in Broomall, Pennsylvania to Elise and Harry Meyer, he was the longest surviving member of his family having been preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Sadly, his son, Peter, followed him in death 17 days later. He is survived by his wife, Tina, Daughter Wendy (Bradley), son David (Christine), daughter-in-law Willemien, and six grandchildren, Madysn, Camden, Ty, Tressa, Sophia and Isabella.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Harry enjoyed a long career in the military serving during the Vietnam conflict, stationed in Taipei, Taiwan, Homestead, Florida, and then as a CPO in Japan and Virginia for many years before his retirement. He was a proud veteran and was honored to have served his country for more than 30 years.
After retirement, he and Tina could be found tending to a variety of livestock on the property he affectionately called MeyerHigh Ranch (a play on Denver’s nickname Mile High). Otherwise, he would be enjoying long road trips, camping and fishing along the way. This passion for the great outdoors was shared and loved by his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid football fan, cheering on his Denver Broncos every season. He loved a good meal, trying new things, was an enthusiastic storyteller, and relished in sharing a good joke or pun. He will be missed for all that he shared.
A veteran through and through, he will be honored for all his years of service alongside his military family at Pike’s Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 30, 2026.
