Obituary for Henry James England Henry J. England, 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. 

Henry was born on September 3, 1949, at Camp Campbell, Kentucky. He lived a life defined by honor, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his country and his family. 

Henry proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after a distinguished career in Aircraft Maintenance. His commitment to excellence, leadership, and service earned him the respect and admiration of those who served alongside him. Throughout his life, he exemplified integrity, hard work, and perseverance, values that guided him both in uniform and beyond. 

In addition to his military service, Henry dedicated over a decade to the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster while stationed in both North Dakota and Germany. He found great joy in mentoring young men, teaching the values of responsibility, leadership, and service, and helping shape the lives of countless Scouts through his guidance and example. 

Above all, Henry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a loving marriage of 55 years with his beloved wife, Susan (Sloan) England. Their enduring partnership, built on love, faith, and unwavering support, became the foundation of a close-knit family. Together, they raised two sons, Christopher England and Michael England. 

A longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Henry built a life centered on family, service, and community. He treasured time spent with those he loved, whether gathered for family occasions or sharing stories from his years of military service. His kindness, quiet wisdom, gentle sense of humor, and steadfast character left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. 

Henry will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and deep love for his family. His legacy of service, dedication, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire all whose lives he touched. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his sons, Christopher (Lori) England and Michael England; his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Kairi, Parker, and Isabella; as well as extended family, dear friends, and fellow service members who will miss him deeply. Though Henry is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His life was one of service, sacrifice, and enduring love—a legacy that will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Henry will be held August 20,2026 at 10:00 am at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO. A reception will follow at his home, 1401 Auburn Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
