Ivan Charles Crawford III

Ivan C. Crawford III, 76, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away in his home in June, 2026. He

served 2 tours in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, meeting his future wife, Mary Sprague of

Lansing, MI, during a break in enlistments at home. They would share thirty years of marriage.

Ivan spent the rest of his career as a field engineer, and project manager for various

government contractors, and tech manufacturers before retiring from the Boeing Company in

their Air & Missile Defense Division. His career took him all over the world and helped foster a

deep appreciation for life back home. Ivan loved long scenic drives, hiking Colorado trails,

playing guitar, and good storytelling. He was a lifelong learner and loved checking in with his

daughters to ask them “Whatcha reading?”.

Ivan is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan C. Crawford Jr. and Agnes Mummert, of Colorado

Springs. He is survived by his supportive ex-wife, Mary Crawford, daughters, Megan (Sterling)

Clifford, their children Garrett and Brady; and Kelly (Joshua) McDonald, and their children Miles,

Rayfield, and Juniper.

A service of remembrance will be held on July 28th at 9:00a.m. at All Veterans Funeral Home

located at 1020 E. Fillmore St., Colorado Springs, CO 80907. A remembrance trek to the top of

Pikes Peak will follow for those inclined to wander. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for
