Margaret Gates Schroyer
Nov 10, 1944 — Jul 4, 2026
Margaret Gates Schroyer passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, creativity, and cherished memories.
Margaret (“Peg”) was a woman of many talents and passions. She was artistically gifted and loved painting and all forms of crafting, with a special talent for creating beautiful porcelain dolls. She also found great joy in baking; her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable moments. You could always count on her home being beautifully decorated for every holiday, filled with her homemade treats and cherished collectible treasures.
Peg was perhaps best known for her love of children. She ran her own daycare for much of her adult life, caring for each child and their family as if they were her own. She valued every connection she made. Stepping away from her daycare was one of her most difficult decisions, as it brought her deep fulfillment and purpose.
Peg is survived by her loving husband, John Schroyer; her daughters, Susan, Andrea, Tina, and Robin; and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Jordyn, Melaney, Madyson, Rylee, Brittany, Beau, and Dakota. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Davis. The eldest of six, she is also survived by her brothers, James, Peter, Robert, and Harry, and her sister, Barbra.
Above all, Peg will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. She was deeply rooted in her love for others, and her legacy will live on through the traditions she created, the talents she shared, and the many lives she touched.
