Richard "Rich" Lee Hart Jr.
June 5, 1951 — April 17, 2026
Richard "Rich" Hart was born on June 5th 1951 in Granite City, Illinois. Rich joined the Army at the age of 17 and fought in the Vietnam War. Rich spent 12+ years as a goldminer where he traveled from Alaska to Panama. He retired in the concrete industry after many dedicated years at Groniger.
Rich's love for the family he chose was his greatest blessing and he will be cherished and missed.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hart, his son's, Robert Hart, Michael Hart, Travis Hart, Christopher (Abby) Ishmael, Casey (Marie) DeSpain, his daughter, Heather (Duane) Akin. Grandson's, Billy DeSpain, Brandon DeSpain, Furious DeSpain, Levi DeSpain and Nathaniel Jansen, granddaughter, Noel Florian as well as several great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Nikki Hart, granddaughter Alexandra Jansen and grandson Noah DeSpain.
