In Loving Memory of Sharon Fulton

Sharon Fulton, 68, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Sharon was born on March 26, 1958, in Pratt, Kansas, to Donald Green and Louise Copeland. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jessica and her husband Jason Nichols of Woodland Park Colorado, and her son, Jawn Fulton of Greensburg Kansas. She was an incredibly proud grandmother to Abby, Mike, Ericka, Elijah, Caleb, Cooper, Malcolm, and Madeleine, and was overjoyed with the anticipation of meeting her great-grandchild. Sharon also leaves behind her siblings Cheryl, Norma, Mark, Gary, Kenney, and Bob, along with many extended family members and countless friends whose lives she touched. For more than 40 years, Sharon dedicated her life to caring for others. She began working in the kitchen at Hill Top House in Bucklin, Kansas, later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and eventually retired after a long and meaningful career in dietary management. Her compassion, hard work, and commitment to those she served left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Sharon found joy in the simple things that brought people together. She loved sewing with her sisters Debbie and Cheryl and quilting; she made all of her grandkid's quilts. She also loves spending time in the kitchen making meals for those she loved and creating memories with her family. Her barbecue chicken, homemade cinnamon rolls, and famous Kansas dirt cake became favorites that her loved ones will forever cherish. She adored every one of her grandchildren, and there was never a day she didn't talk about how much she loved or missed them. She also had a special place in her heart for Abby and Mike's cats, Pedro and Napoleon, she proudly claimed them as "her cats," and no one could convince her otherwise. Anyone who knew Sharon knew she could be stubborn or, as she proudly called it, "bull-headed." That determination was matched only by her enormous heart. She was loving, funny, goofy, kind, and always willing to help anyone in need. Sharon had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like family, often "adopting" others as her own grandchildren and showering them with the same unconditional love she gave her own. She will also be remembered for the words she shared so often. No phone call, text message, or goodbye was ever complete without "I love you." She loved sending people off with, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do," and whenever anyone asked if she needed anything, her answer was almost always, "A million dollars. "One of Sharon's greatest blessings was spending the last six years of her life living with her grandchildren, first in Woodland Park, Colorado, and then the last three years in Colorado Springs. Those years were filled with laughter, love, and countless precious memories that her family will treasure forever. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Green; her mother, Louise Copeland; her sister, Debbie Pugh; and her brother, Robert Green. A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the cemetery in Mullinville, Kansas. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for tea, coffee, and snacks at the American Legion building in Bucklin, Kansas, to celebrate Sharon's life and share memories together. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Sharon Fulton's name to Hill Top House in Bucklin, Kansas, a place that held a special place in her heart throughout her career. Sharon's legacy is one of unconditional love, selfless generosity, unwavering devotion to her family, and a heart big enough to welcome everyone. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We will forever hear her gentle reminders to say, "I love you," smile at the thought of her asking for "a million dollars," and carry her love with us every day.
