It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Beth Routhier on August 31, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on April 26, 1940, in Lott Texas, she met her husband David in Amarillo Texas where he was first stationed while in the US Air Force. They were married for 65 years and raised three children, David Jr., Cathy and Joseph Christopher. Tina was a strong, independent woman who always worked and was the foundation at home while her husband was deployed. She was also committed to supporting other military wives and families that were in the same boat.

Tina loved camping and fishing but really found her groove when they were both able to retire and hit the open road in their RV’s, which always seemed to change and get bigger with each excursion. In their travels they visited 47 of the lower 48 states, along the way appreciating the diverse people and rich cultures that our country has to offer.

She was also deeply committed to her community and civic engagement, remaining actively involved with the Democratic National Committee and causes she believed would make a positive difference in the lives of others. Her dedication, convictions, and willingness to serve reflected her strong character and desire to leave the world a better place.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the example she set through a life well lived. Tina will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
