David Bryan Brooks

David Bryan Brooks, MSgt (Ret), at 67 years of age, passed away on Sunday Sept 20 at 8pm.

Dave was born in Oslo Norway to Malcolm Jackson Brooks and Grethe Marie Brooks.

He was married to Alice Brooks Kemp for 5 years, and they shared a son Joseph Erik Brooks

At the time of his death, he was married to Jerri Lee Brooks and they celebrated their 33rd Wedding anniversary on Oct 14, 2026. They were married in Accomac VA on Oct 14, 1993.

Dave grew up the son of an Air Force veteran Malcolm J Brooks, (MSgt Ret.) He grew up all around the world and was always grounded by the love of his mother Grethe Marie Brooks. He was a boy scout and went all the way up to Eagle Scout. He was so responsible he drove a school bus in Virginia during his Junior and Senior years of High School.

Dave retired from the Air Force as a Master Sargeant (MSgt, E-7) after 20 years in 1997. Dave lived all over the world to include, Turkey, Germany, California, Texas, Italy, Lajes field Azores, and Colorado where and Jerri retired. Dave earned an associate degree and bachelor’s degree. After the Air Force Dave went on to complete over 20 years with US West, Qwest, Century Link, he was so incredibly proud of achieving his dream role of telecom engineer where he retired from in 2022.

At the time of his passing, he lived on 10 acres of beautiful property in Parker CO where he stayed very busy reclaiming the natural grasses and pond on the property. He was happiest driving his Polaris up and down our road with our pups, Jazz and Eddie. Frequently offering to help friends and neighbors. He was a friend to so many!

Dave was Mr. Fix-it. If he did not know how to do it, he would watch a YouTube video and figure it out. He was an avid “Motor-Head” He owned so many cars that his wife started to create a spreadsheet with tabs to include the many motorcycles. After a period, he said – “there is no need to outline all of this!” He always said he prayed that St Peter was a car guy.

Dave married Jerri Lee Brooks on Oct 14, 1993. Together they had a beautiful blended family; Justin Keith Spiers (Rachel Lynn Spiers); Joseph Erik Brooks (Jennifer Brooks) and Rachel Nicole Yonkers (Brandon Yonkers). He had 8 grandchildren: Naomi Spiers, Caleb Spiers, Nathan Spiers, Andrew Brooks, Joplyn Brooks, Aliza Yonkers, Mikala Yonkers and Remy Yonkers. Dave was a great-grandfather to Joseph Cole Brooks

Dave loved his family fiercely, this included his parents, brother Erik Brooks, sister Anne Marie Brooks Watt and brother (in law) Mike Watt. He had nieces and nephews Gillian Wales, Jack Brooks, Katy Grady, Trevor Grady and Megan Watt.

Dave was proceeded in death by his son Joseph Brooks in 2014, his father Malcolm Brooks in 2021, and his mother Grethe Brooks in 2025.

Dave will be laid to rest at Fort Logan in Colorado, due to space limitations the service is limited. After the service there will be a Celebration of life at Parker School House located at 20000 Pikes Peak Ave, Parker CO 80138.

Dave would say thank you to all who he has met in his life and those who continue to support friends and family.
