Dennis Norman Schoenfeld, age 83, passed away on August 23, 2026, in Englewood, Colorado. He was born on March 5, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to Herbert and Mildred (Matzen) Schoenfeld.
Dennis grew up in Denver and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. In January 1964, at the age of 19, he entered the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in April 1968.
Following his military service, Dennis continued his career in the technology field, working in California, Denver and Colorado Springs before eventually making his home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
On May 24, 1977 Dennis was united in marriage to Paulette Gregory. Together they raised four children: Greg (Kim) Schoenfeld; Geoff (Ivon) Schoenfeld; Kristin Crowder and Amanda (Stephen) Friedman.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Paulette, of Highlands Ranch; his four children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; his sisters Barbara (Jack) Schaefer and Judith (Jerry) Clough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mildred Schoenfeld, and his brother Richard Schoenfeld.
Dennis loved Colorado and enjoyed following the Denver sports teams. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
Service for Dennis will be held on September 17, 2026 at Aspen Mortuary, 1350 Simms Street, Lakewood, CO 80401 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
Reception will be held at Riverwalk Clubhouse at 2751 W. Riverwalk Circle, Littleton, CO 80123.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’s name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
