Kathleen Ann Olona

With hearts shattered beyond words, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Kathleen Ann (Cameron) Olona, who passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. While cancer ultimately claimed her life, it never diminished her kindness, her strength, or the love she gave so freely to everyone around her.

She was born on October 17, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, to Robert Glenn Cameron and Leatha Marie Lovsey. Kathy graduated from North High School and spent her life showing others what unconditional love looked like.

Kathleen was married to the love of her life, Samuel Guadalupe Olona. Although he passed away before her, the love they shared never faded. Their marriage was built on devotion, loyalty, and family, and we find comfort in believing they are together once again.

Whether she was greeting shoppers as the cheerful Walmart sample lady or caring for the people she loved. Kathleen had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger for long. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and genuine kindness had a way of brightening someone's day, often without her even realizing it.

Anyone who knew Kathy also knew she loved trying her luck at the casino. Gambling brought her laughter, joy, and so much excitement! She even hit a few Jackpots over the years, and when she won, we won too!

Kathleen was the very definition of unconditional love. She was endlessly supportive and completely selfless. She wasn’t just an amazingly wonderful mom and grandma- she was the kind of mom and grandma everyone wishes they had.

Kathleen is survived by her loving daughters, Jessica (Derrick) Foster and Crystal (Tom) Olona; her cherished grandson, Michael (Jasmine) Allarid, Jr.; great granddaughter, Viktoria; and her precious great grandson to be, Alexios, whom she was SO excited to meet! Also surviving is her brother, Robert “Bobby” Cameron; and her adored fur grand babies: Bear, Neptune, Coco Chanel, Yomi, Rajaleigh, Elmer, Jake, and Trixie. Bear and Neptune are already missing their grandma; she took them for spa days every single month.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to All Veterans Funeral and Cremation of Colorado, with private interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery where Kathleen will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Samuel.
