Donald L. Hower Sr.
Dec 13, 1934 — Nov 22, 2025
In Loving Memory of Donald L. Hower Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Donald (Don) L. Hower, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Arvada, Colorado on November 22, 2025 with his wife by his side.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 68 years, Darlene Hower; his three children, Terry Farber (Art Larson), Debra Ward (Donald), and Donald Hower, Jr; grandchildren Brandon Ward (Kristy) and Breann Isbell (Daniel); great grandchildren, Scott and Adam Ward and Emily and Sadie Isbell.
Don graduated from Springfield High School and attended Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. He answered the call to serve his country in the US Army and then in the US Airforce Reserves. He served proudly and remembered his service with a strong sense of honor and pride.
Anyone who met Don knew of his remarkable character. He lived his life emphasizing the importance of love and that it was the basis for any deep relationship. He always wanted to bring a smile, preferably laughter, and a sense of thankfulness and appreciation to all thos who met him.
Don's quiet strength, love for his family and friends, and a sense of humor will be deeply missed. We take solace in the love he shared and the memories that will be forever cherished.
May he rest in peace in heaven with our Lord and Savior.
