Douglas Michael Witt "Switch" In Loving Memory of Douglas Michael Witt Doug was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife Tanya Witt, son Daniel Witt and stepson David Krambeck, mother of his son Camilla Jeffcoat, stepsons Shaun and Chris, grandchildren Brandon, Haley and Nicolas, sister Vicki Cox and brother-in-law Steve Cox, mother-in-law Shirley and father-in-law David, as well as numerous nieces & nephews and many close family friends. Doug is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Nina Witt, sister Jan Hill, brothers Steve and Rodney Witt as well as his grandparents. Doug was born in Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa and moved to Colorado in 1960. Doug was a heavy equipment operator since the age of 7, as he was taught by his father Pete. He started on a roller and advanced to a scrapper and blade. Doug worked for Tarco for 22 years and several other construction companies over the years. He had many accomplishments and took pride in everything he did! Doug joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and enlisted for four years. His favorite hobbies were Karate, and he had earned multiple levels of Black Belt, he belonged to a band, "Organized Confusion", at which point he received his nickname "Switch" as many of his friends called him. He also liked cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, tools, guns, water skiing, camping and going to his property in the mountains. Doug loved his dobermans, from his miniatures, who have passed on, to his full size "Samson & Ruby" who miss him terribly. Doug is now resting with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he will be missed and loved with broken hearts! Due to the Corona Virus 19, services will be scheduled after it is safe to proceed and all restrictions are lifted. He will have a full military service at Fort Logan and a "Celebration of Life" to follow. We will post as soon as we can schedule. RIP Love Doug [Mike] Witt's Family
