James William Blue

In Loving Memory & In Honor of James W. Blue Always loved, Never forgotten. Obituary Belt buckles & boots, James William Blue was a good ol’ Colorado cowboy. James was known by most of his friends simply as Blue, but he was much more than a simple man. Born in Denver, CO to Theodore Kenneth & Anna Marie Blue, James grew up in and around the City of Denver. He had 2 siblings, his older sister Bert & younger brother David. At a young age James joined the United States Navy. He served 3 years aboard the USS Nicholas DDE 449 during the Koren War from 1951-1954. During the years he served in the war, James witnessed 3 atomic bombs & combat. He had many interesting stories to share. James will be survived by his 4 children, (Robbie Blue, Kathleena Hill, Elaine Hessek & Richie Blue) and his many grandchildren & great grandchildren. He was not just a cowboy, or a Navy Sailor, he was truly a jack of all traits. James was an artistic wood-worker, an energetic country western dancer, a very intelligent handy-man, a never ending comedian, and he was a man who enjoyed camping with his family. James was full of life, adventure, humor & stories. People would smile when Blue was around. He was a great guy and he kept us all entertained. James lived to be 86 years old. He had a full life & he was a happy man. He enjoyed people and he loved his family & friends dearly. Blue will be with in our hearts, always loved, and never forgotten. Blue used to say, “Life is short, Eat dessert first”. We love you Blue. Cheers. Please feel free to share you memories or stories of Blue with the family.
