Rufina L. Martinez

Rufina “Ruth” Martinez Rufina died unexpectedly in December. She was born in 1942 in New Mexico. Rufina is survived by her daughter and 6 sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and her only brother who passed 8 days prior to her. She was happily retired, when she wasn’t reading, enjoying various television shows or crocheting, she was going on adventures with her daughter or sisters. She was an amazing woman who always made sure the people she was with noticed the beauty of the world, for example, cloud formations or the changing colors of the sunrise. We would try to spend as much time that we could at the Museum or the Zoo, her favorite animal to view was the Tamarin and Giraffes. Although the opportunity to travel has not been available, she loved our road trips to Las Vegas and taking in all the sights and sounds.
