Christy Leigh Niyork Hedgepeth

Hedgepeth, Christy Leigh Niyork, 39, passed away Aug. 18, 2014 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Christy was born in Atlanta GA and moved to Largo FL in 1981 with her family. She joined Harvest Temple Church of God, now Gulf Coast Church, with her family that same year. Her passion was her family and singing for the Lord. She sang with the Cherub Choir, then joined the Sanctuary Choir at the age of 12, where she continued to sing for 27 years and was part of the Worship Team. Christy is survived by her 3 children, David 18, Luke 15 and Brianna 14, her parents Bud and Sandy Niyork, sisters Robin (Chris) Carmichael, Amanda Niyork, brother Joey (Billie) Niyork, nieces Courtney and Shelby Carmichael, Chloe Molody, nephew Nathan Niyork, Grandmother Cecilia Myers, uncle Steve Myers, ex-husband Michael Hedgepeth and many close friends. Our hearts are broken, but we know she is no longer suffering and we will see her again in Heaven. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Aug. 23, 2014 at 11:30 at Gulf Coast Church, 13301 Walsingham Road, Largo, FL 33774.
