Catalina Reynoso

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Catalina Abreu Reynoso, known to many as Hilda, who passed away at the age of 84 on April 23, 2026, in Melbourne,

Florida. Born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, on April 30, 1941, she was the beloved wife of Victor S. Reynoso.

Hilda was a devoted mother to Octavio Mejia Abreu (Susy), Hilda Mejia Abreu (Scott), Albis Mejia Abreu, Digna Mejia Abreu, Marcia Mejia Ware (Anthony), Miguel Reynoso, and Victor H. Reynoso (Dheily), as well as her bonus daughter, Leticia Mejia (Carlos).

She is survived by her grandchildren, Fernando Perez (Ashley), Amber, Armando, and Savanna; her great-grandchild, Natalie; her sisters, Belgica Suriel and Sister Grecia

Abreu; her brother, Antonio Abreu; and many nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.

A woman of unwavering faith, Hilda will be remembered for her selfless, joyful, and compassionate spirit. Her radiant smile brought comfort to everyone she met, and she provided her children with an extraordinary depth of love. Intelligent and determined, she approached life with grace, always ready to help others and encourage them toward their goals.

Her legacy lives on through the wisdom, strength, and strong foundation she instilled in her family.

At her request, there will be no funeral service. Instead, a celebration of life will be held to honor her memory in a way that reflects the immense joy and love she brought into the world.

We are deeply grateful to have had her in our lives.

She will be forever remembered and missed.”
