Hazelle Lorraine Burdick went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 15, 2026 at age 84. Hazelle was born to Charles and Florence Moffitt on December 3, 1941 in Sterling, Connecticut. She spent her childhood in Canterbury, Connecticut, graduating from Griswold High School in 1959, and eventually pursuing a successful career as a bookkeeper and bank teller. She later earned an Associates Degree from Brevard Community College.
Hazelle married her loving husband, Donald R. Burdick, in 1986, and the couple relocated to Melbourne, Florida. In addition to being a dedicated wife and loving mother to her three sons, Hazelle also loved reading, crafting, shopping estate sales, and caring for her beloved dogs. She thoroughly enjoyed keeping up with current events and discussing politics. She loved hosting family gatherings at her home, baking goodies for her neighbors, and babysitting her neighbors' daughters.
Hazelle joins her parents, her husband, Donald, her brothers Edward Ellston, John Ellston, Charles Moffitt, Jr., Richard Moffitt, and Walter Moffitt in Heaven. She is survived by her sister, Betty Oldham of Plainfield, CT, sons Stanley (Mary) Juber of Ledyard, CT, Glenn (Phyllis) Juber of Melbourne and Coconut Creek, FL, Mark Juber of Celebration, FL, grandchildren Rebecca Kramer, Kate (Robert) Alvarez, Matthew (Jamie) Juber, Samantha Juber, and Bethany (Daniel) Shaw, plus her great grandchildren Elaina Kramer, and Luke Alvarez.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brevard Humane Society.
